Baby Sling & Onbuhimo | HOKKYOKU SHIROKUMADO

Although Cute Me is a one-size-fits-all baby sling, it is primarily designed to fit the average Japanese body. So it will be most suitable for people of similar size such as Chinese, Korean, Indonesian and Thai people. It fits people with a body weight of 75 kilograms (165 pounds) or less and features padded rails.

We develop our own original fabric for our slings. One of our best-selling slings made with “Shijira” fabric is available in 15 colors. The rings and padding materials are also specially manufactured for our products. The whole manufacturing process, from fabric production to sewing, is carried out in Japan. “Cute Me!” has passed a strength test conducted by a public testing institute. We have filed patent applications in Japan and South Korea.

The instructional DVD and leaflet that come with the baby sling are only available in Japanese.

Our traditional “Onbuhimo” uses a pattern that was used in the 1950s in Japan. Unfortunately, it may be a little bit too small for non-Asian people because it is produced to fit the average Japanese body. It has also passed a strength test carried out by a public testing institute.

We will be happy to custom produce larger-size onbuhimos for distributors who are interested in selling our products in Europe and the U.S.

We also carry heko-obis made of Japanese fabrics. The soft sash-belt-like heko-obis measuring 37 centimeters (14.5 inches) wide by 4.5 meters (15 feet) long allow you to "wear" your baby as if you were wrapping him/her around your body.

The Turtolino is our newest product. It is a Chinese style “Mei Tai” specially developed for Japanese people.
